Bruce RaymondRAYMOND, Bruce Wayne – February 4 1951 – December 22 2021 – It is with great sadness that the family of Bruce Wayne Raymond announce his sudden passing on December 22, 2021 at the age of 70 years. Bruce was born in Digby, Nova Scotia on February 4, 1951. There he lived until he was 18 when he decided that he would pursue a career in helping others/ serving the public and joined the R.C.M.P. During his early years of the RCMP, he met and married the love of his life, Majalla. Together they had two children Paul and Brandy. Bruce served in various communities throughout Newfoundland and in 2004 after serving 34 ½ years, he retired. Bruce and Majalla helped build their retirement home and settled in Port Blandford, NL. Bruce had a passion for the outdoors. He was very involved in hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking/baking and anything else that would justify him being outside. He loved his cabin which he enjoyed year round and it was pretty much his home away from home. Bruce had many skills which earned him the name “MacGyver”, as he could come up with any fix for a problem whether for short or long term. He took much pride in anything he owned and he was always keeping a maintenance schedule or writing down the operating instructions to assist someone else if need be. One thing for sure is that he always knew when to change the oil, clean the BBQ and/or furnace. There was no denying the love Bruce had for his family. He loved spending time with Majalla and together they could tackle and accomplish just about anything. He was always keeping himself busy with something! One of his greatest accomplishments in life would be his children and grandchildren. Paul and Brandy were his pride and joy and taught them so many life lessons. When his grandchildren were born, he loved to talk about them, tease them and spend time telling stories and having every bit of their attention. We all know that he has left an undeniable impact on his precious grandchildren and family and they will miss him dearly.Bruce will be forever and lovingly remembered by his loving wife and best friend, Majalla (48 years). His children Paul Raymond (Amanda) of Portugal Cove, NL, Brandy Francis (Tommy) of Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Grandchildren Thomas, Kya, Kaleb, Jack and Nova. He also adored their lab fur babies, Jinx and Jigger. Bruce also leaves behind his much loved mother -in-law, Vera White; cousin Gail; sister, Sandra; several sister/brother-in-laws; nieces and nephews; close friends and neighbours.Bruce was predeceased by his parents Seymour and Roberta Raymond; Aunt Minnie, Uncle Charlie; Niece, Andrea; Father-in-law, Jack White; brother-in-laws, Donny and Bobby. Bruce’s family wishes to send a special thank you to his friends who stayed by his side and the first responders of the Clarenville RCMP detachment/ Fewers Ambulance and Port Blandford Fire Department. At his request, a cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel in Clarenville for family and friends to attend on Thursday, December 30th, 2021 at 2:00pm.
